Classification Pins will be awarded at any time to members that submit two targets of the appropriate type that have been witnessed. The targets must be signed by the range officer prior to shooting and after the targets have been shot and scored as per club competition regulations.
This award program is designed to place members for competition purposes to compete in a class within their range of skills at target shooting. As their scores improve the higher classification will be awarded.
New members and shooters without a classification will compete as unclassified and will receive a classification from that shooting competition.
Three shooters will be required to make up a class category for competitions. If less than three, they will have to compete in the next higher class.
A shooter’s classification will be revised after each competition. The shooter can move up a class, but can not be re-classified to a lower class due to a lower score in one event.
Members are encouraged to log their practice targets and try for badges.
